Sick By Design: Why America Needs Universal Healthcare

The Richest Country on Earth.

A system that protects profits over patients.

This isn’t just a policy failure. It’s a moral one. And it’s time we faced the truth.

“Sick By Design” was created to expose the truth: America’s healthcare system isn’t just broken, it was built to exclude.

This project began with one clear goal: to help people understand why the system fails so many, and what we can do to fix it. At its heart is a forthcoming book that weaves together forgotten history, everyday experiences, and global comparisons to show that universal healthcare isn’t a radical idea, it’s a moral necessity.

This website, and the book behind it, aren’t backed by corporations or political machines. They’re the work of one ordinary American who lived through the brutal gaps in our system, and couldn’t stay silent. There’s no sponsor, no party agenda, just a deep belief that truth-telling and compassion can drive change.

If you’ve ever struggled to afford care, been denied coverage, or watched someone suffer because help was out of reach, you already understand: the system is working exactly as it was designed to. That’s why we need to redesign it, together.

Change doesn’t begin in Washington. It begins with understanding. And that’s where we begin.
